The Process: Collaboration
through Tech Prep Consortia
The Tech Prep vision is
sustained by partnerships that align resources and
expertise. Supported by federal and state funding
and guidance, Ohio College Tech Prep is jointly
managed by the Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio
Department of Education’s Office of Career-Technical
Education. Twenty-three consortia engage employers,
community and technical colleges, universities and
secondary schools in local programs and student
support services. Consortia operating standards
focus on providing support to partners in the
Program of Study (POS) and Student Success services.
