Evan Shaw College Tech Prep Grad, NFL Cinematographer
Evan Shaw is a young guy who has packed a lot of living into the last few years. The 2002 Meigs High School grad carries a full course load at Ohio University. He’s the director for WOUB's award-winning “Gridiron Glory”; he shoots footage of Ohio University home football games… and he's been traveling every weekend to film NFL games on behalf of New Jersey-based NFL Films.

"The older I get, the more I realize that having a skill translates into getting a good job. The right training goes a long way in the world.”
Last summer, Evan was one of 30 students nationwide selected for an NFL internship. He visited NFL training camps and preseason match-ups, where he met well-known players and celebrities like Phil Collins. After two tryouts—he was offered a job and is now the company’s youngest cinematographer.
Evan believes his dream job is a direct result of his College Tech Prep interactive media program, which he describes as a “hands-on community”.
“That was a great experience,” he says. “My career started in high school. College Tech Prep is a really good springboard from high school to college and professional career.”
